Central
2002 – ongoing
In a contemporaneity increasingly difficult to identify, Central is my prototype of the ideal city. Or rather, the prototype within which to experiment urban planning models that can subsequently be applied to the complexity of reality. A complex and detailed project never truly completed and liable to unceasing transformations, it presents different areas for which I imagined different solutions. From the theme of conservation of the historic city to that of the design of large infrastructures, Central is also the continuous exercise of different methods of representation, from sketches to plan drawings, from relief to architectural painting.
